We had to stand aside and the experience made us feel judged and rejected. We had booked tickets and put our names on the guest list. The impression we got from the bouncer is that he had no idea why we weren’t initially defined entry. We asked the bouncer why this was and then thankfully after a good 20 minutes of asking, the bouncer let us in. As this was birthday drinks we were incredibly disappointed. When we asked why the man rudely replied with ‘I’ve told you once already, you’re not coming in’. We were dressed correctly as per the dress code. The impression we got is that we didn’t look ‘wealthy’ enough or ‘pretty’ enough. told us we will not be getting in tonight. A blonde man, who we assume is the manager came up to us and. Whilst queuing to enter with my friend, the group in front and us two were defined entry. I was incredibly disappointed with my visit to Sushisamba last Saturday evening (Nov 2023). Although she understood that our expectations were high, especially for a restaurant like SUSHISAMBA, it made us wonder whether our unhappiness was due to personal preference or a genuine reduction in quality. However, she revealed that each restaurant's prawn tempura is prepared differently. The manager responded positively to our concerns. On the other hand, the lamb and black cod were very tasty. I was expecting much better for a pricey 29-pound dish. It was the most disappointing prawn tempura I have ever had. We requested that the manager take it off the table because its size failed to leave a lasting impression. The prawn tempura, in particular, was disappointing. The level of service delivered fell short of the standards. The waiter did not wipe the table before offering the dessert menu, it was dirty with the lamb sauce, etc. The amount of excitement and attentiveness displayed by the eating establishment's staff appeared to be lacking. The service was average, with the exception of the receptionist. As one would expect from a restaurant of this level, adaptability and customer satisfaction were frequently lacking at this establishment. Unfortunately, the waiter, Evgine, is Italian, I guess. We had a slight hiccup when we noticed we needed to change our edamame order right before it was delivered to the table. During our talk with the server, we were unable to maintain this. Katherine's friendliness and attentiveness created a pleasant atmosphere. Moreĭuring our recent visit, the overall culinary experience at SUSHISAMBA was inconsistent, leaving me with mixed impressions.Īt its best, the receptionist's service was outstanding. Thankfully if was a business dinner and not a date or I would have been even more disappointed. Having had many tasting menus I can honestly say the food was OK at best, in the intrest of fairness maybe the taste was tainted by the service and atmosphere but even so I personally felt the food was poor other than the sashimi perhaps.Īt the end of the meal given the fact we were served by 5 different servers very poorly we asked for the service charge to be taken off so we could tip the only decent waiter directly only to be met by the rudest disdain and disgust from the waitress which I found shocking. Bar patrons constantly bashed into us and took photos over us and we wasn't told what any dish was, it was simply dumped on the table, most dishes being served in 1 bowl for 2 people and not portioned for 2 at all. Outdoor Seating Restaurants in WestminsterĪlthough we booked and had the tasting menu at £150 each we ended up on a tiny table not in the restaurant but next to the bar and pressed against the window which was completely unsuitable for anything other than bar snacks like the plantains.Chinese Restaurants in East End / East London.Restaurants with Outdoor Seating in London.Restaurants for Special Occasions in London.Sushi Restaurants for Families in London.Soup Restaurants for Families in London.Middle Eastern Restaurants with Outdoor Seating in London.Restaurants near SUSHISAMBA Heron Tower.GRAND ASTON Cayo Las Brujas Beach Resort & Spa.Hotels near V&A - Victoria and Albert Museum.Hotels with Complimentary Breakfast in London.Euston / Kings Cross /St Pancras Hotels.
