Now if I then leave Torch as my default torrent manager the whole shebang is under the VPN to anonymise the activity. I installed the Browsec onto Torch and it works fine. I am now sussing things out more from the things I picked up. However on using Torch to download a torrent from the likes of ade they open in my qBittorrent so effectively leaving torch out of the loop. ![]() I also have Torch which is the cause of the problem anyway. firefox set it under applications and forget it.Īh, Opera and Chrome are what I use. only opera and chrome have this behavior. ![]() Now if you completely delete your torrent programme, settings and all then reinstall it, it sets itself as the default torrent programme. Now when clicking on a torrent link it asks if you wish to opoen it with qBittorrent ( in my case) or probably whatever you put in the previous registry setting for you own default. Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RegisteredApplications and delete Torch. It only gives a yes or no option so you're stuck with Torch.īUT I now have found a registry setting to delete. I love Opera for doing many things but Torch is great for just downloading most anything from websites without any faffing around. I guess that the registry controls what opens with what so it'll be the default for any browser/torrent handler. In my case it's "C\Program Files\qBittorrent.exe" "%1"ĭoes that work for all browsers? be nice not to have to click when i click a magnet link. You have to go into your registry and toĬomputer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Magnet\shell\open\commandĬhange the command to the location of the torrent handler. Even Torch.īy the way, I love Torch but hate the way it hijacks all the magnet torrent downloads to default on installing it.
